Welcome back! Round One of our Outlander Dating Brackets was a ton of fun— thank you to everyone who played along!
As for the results…not too many upsets but you guys really surprised me with how close some of the contests were! Master Raymond gave Frank a run for his money, and Young Ian against Fergus was the closest match of them all. Here are the results from last week:
Ready to vote in the next round? Some reminders: there are four brackets (Fraser, MacKenzie, Claire, and Friends & Frememies), and each character is “seeded.” Voting lasts one week for each round.
Note: if the voting polls don’t show up for you below, try opening in your mobile browser or on a desktop.
Who would you rather date?
The Fraser Bracket
1. Jamie Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser vs 4. Ian Murray, Sr.
Tough call. Best friends and brothers-in-law, these two might be the most honorable men in all of the Highlands. It all comes down to where you want to have the most adventure— out in the untamed wild or home on the farm?
2. Fergus Fraser (adult) vs 3. Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser
In one corner we have the young but charming Fergus, in the other we have the taciturn yet wise Murtagh. Choose wisely.
The MacKenzie Bracket
1. Roger Wakefield MacKenzie vs 4. Rupert MacKenzie
Two hundred years separate these lovable MacKenzie dudes. Let’s call this one the Battle of the Beards.
2. Dougal MacKenzie vs 3. Colum MacKenzie
This is how it should be, isn’t it? These two Machiavellian brothers battling it out, the brawn of Leoch against the brain.
The Claire Bracket
1. Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp Randall Fraser vs 5. Comte St. Germain
Nemeses of Season 2. Claire has honesty and morality working in her favor. The Comte is…very nice to look at.
2. Frank Wolverton Randall vs 3. Dr. Joseph Abernathy
Claire’s two twentieth century men. Both highly educated and committed to doing the right thing. This is actually one of the tougher match-ups this round; I’m interested to see how this turns out.
The Friends & Frenemies Bracket
1. Lord John William Grey vs 4. Reverend Reginald Wakefield
Both of these guys know how to stick by their best friends, don’t they? You can’t go wrong with either one.
2. Prince Charles Edward Stuart vs 3. Lieutenant Jeremy Foster
Although they fought on opposite sides, the Scottish uprising didn’t work out well for either one of these two men. Where would your loyalties lie?
And thats’s all, folks! Happy voting and have fun. See you next week for Round 3.
