Outlander Dating Brackets: Round 3

Welcome back! The scheduling of this post got a bit delayed with all the excitement last week around Season 4’s new promotional art. Did everyone get a chance to see it? What do we think…reference to Aldous Huxley? Reference to William Shakespeare (from which Huxley gleaned the phrase)? None of the above? In any case, it’s beautiful and we are less than two months away from the premiere. Huzzah!

On to our brackets. You guys surprise me! I thought for sure the Comte would move on due to his deliciously evil sexiness, but no! And Joe Abernathy provided an upset win over Frank Randall. Here are the results from Round 2:

The Fraser Bracket:

Glad to see the Murtagh love is alive and well!

The MacKenzie Bracket:

We never deserved you, Rupert.

The Claire Bracket:

The two surgeons advance. Typical over-achievers. Lastly…

The Friends and Frenemies Bracket:

Mark me, it’s the end of the line for Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Moving on to our Elite Eight! Some reminders: Voting lasts one week and each character is seeded within their bracket. Winners move on to the Final Four.

So, I ask you…Who is the most dateable?

p.s. If you want to revisit Rounds 1 and 2 you can find them here and here.

The Fraser Bracket:

1. James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser vs 3. Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser

Godson against Godfather. One has a twitchy smile and gorgeous red hair. The other is deliciously grumpy. Choose wisely.

The MacKenzie Bracket:

1. Roger Wakefield MacKenzie vs 2. Dougal MacKenzie

Roger against his great-great-great-great-great grandfather. Do you want a modern man who plays a mean bodrhan or do you want a slightly more Machiavellian lover? There can only be one.

The Claire Bracket:

1. Dr. Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp Randall Fraser vs 3. Dr. Joseph Abernathy

Stay in the twentieth century with Joe or try your hand at adventure with Claire in whatever century she happens to land? Either way you have a smart, successful, and thoughtful partner.

The Friends and Frenemies Bracket:

1. Lord John William Grey vs 3. Lieutenant Jeremy Foster

The Battle of the Sexy Redcoats. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either one. Both are men of honor and morality…and they both look great in uniform.

Happy Voting! Coming down the pike in the next few weeks are more retrospective recaps for Season 1 and a look at heroism in Outlander. Stay tuned!
